Polar bears are generally solitary animals, especially the males, and do not gather together in family groups.

Growing Up

Polar bear family groups only consist of a mother bear and her cubs. The cubs stay with her for 2-3 years and then she will start

a new family.

Male polar bears will live alone most of their lives. When they are becoming adults they will play fight with each other

on the ice.
