The most playful river mammal is the otter. These weasel looking animals love to chase each other through the water and dive for fish, turtles, crayfish, and crabs. Otters can be found in any part of the US where there is a clean supply of water and lots of its favorite foods.

The playful otter eats a fish (above). It is at home in the water and has a thick fur

coat that keeps it warm when wet.
