Polar bears live in one of the coldest parts of the

planet. They have thick fur, white coats to blend in with snow, and are one of the world’s largest carnivores.

Unit Thirty-Five

Polar bears are twice as big as the Siberian tiger. Males weigh up to 1500 lbs, and females typically weigh about 550 lbs.. When the females are pregnant they can gain an additional 200 lbs or more.
